Atelier historique et méthodologique franco-tchèque épouse une structure semblable comme le séminaire franco-tchèque : chaque séance est assurée par un professeur francophone différent et le choix des sujets est guidé par un thème transversal semestriel (ou couvrant les deux semestres de l’année académique) qui est présenté dans la rubrique « axe thématique », comprenant aussi une petite liste bibliographique. Ce thème est suffisamment large pour pouvoir être traîté et étudié pour toutes les périodes et dans les domaines de recherche variés. À la différence du séminaire historique franco-tchèque qui se veut plutôt introductif et général, ce cours est orienté vers une analyse plus profonde des sujets abordés, et cela par l’intermédiaire de la lecture des sources, l’échange et la participation active des étudiants. Pour chaque cours, les textes à étudier seront affichés en avance sur le site de l’atelier sous la rubrique « lecture » (à condition qu’ils soient communiqués par le professeur). En même temps, un dossier de courts textes en lien avec le sujet transversal sera publié sous la rubrique « littérature thématique ». Ce dossier permettant de saisir de façon générale les questions principales suscitées par le thème semestriel est à parcourir au début du semestre pour orienter la compréhension des sujets plus spécifiques traîtés dans les conférences. Les étudiants peuvent aussi se référer à la liste bibliographique qui accompagne la présentation du thème – cela sera utile notamment pour le contrôle à la fin du semestre.

Contrôle : Pour obtenir les crédits, la lecture prévue pour chaque séance et la participation active au déroulement de l'atelier sont nécessaires (3 absences tolérées). A la fin du cours, les étudiants devront présenter un sujet portant spécifique sur la migration. Le choix du sujet doit être approuvé par les enseignants bien en avance. A la dernière séance du cours, le sujet sera présenté en forme de présentation orale devant leurs collègues, de 15 min. environ.

The structure of the Workshop in Historical Sciences is similar to that of the Czech-French Historical Seminar: each session is conducted by a different French-speaking teacher and topics are chose in line with the general cross-cutting theme for the semester (or the two semesters of the academic year combined). The cross-cutting theme is presented in the "thematic axis" section, which also includes a short bibliography. This theme is broad enough to be discussed and studied for all historical periods and in various fields of research. Unlike the Czech-French Historical Seminar, which is chiefly intended to be introductory and general, this course is oriented towards a more in-depth analysis of the topics covered, through reading of sources, exchange and active participation of students. For each course, texts (provided by the teacher) will be posted in advance on the workshop website under the "Reading" heading to allow their study. A file containing short texts related to the cross-cutting theme will also be made available under the "Thematic literature" heading. This file, which provides a general overview of the main issues discussed under the biannual theme, should be inspected at the beginning of the semester as a guide to understanding the more specific topics covered in the lectures. Students are also referred to the bibliography accompanying the presentation of the theme, which will be particularly useful for passing the assessment at the end of the semester.

Assessment: The students are expected to attend and actively participate in the workshop (3 session absences are tolerated). At the end of the course, students will be asked to make a presentation on the theme of borders and boundaries. The choice of the specific subject-matter for the presentation must be approved by the teachers well in advance. Presentations to fellow-students should be of approximately 15-minute length and will take place in the last couple of sessions of the course.
